  • What is reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates is a specialized form of Pilates that incorporates the use of a unique piece of equipment called a "reformer." The reformer is a bed-like frame with a sliding carriage, springs, straps, and other attachments. During a reformer Pilates session, individuals perform a series of controlled, low-impact exercises that target various muscle groups by using the resistance provided by the springs and the carriage's movement. This method enhances strength, flexibility, and overall body awareness, making it a highly effective and versatile approach to fitness.

  • Is reformer Pilates suitable for beginners at KAR Pilates?

Absolutely! Our reformer Pilates classes at KAR Pilates are designed to accommodate individuals of all fitness levels, including beginners. Our certified instructors will provide guidance and modifications to ensure a safe and effective workout, even if you're new to Pilates or exercise in general. As you progress, you'll have the opportunity to advance your practice and take on more challenging exercises.

  • Who can attend a KAR Pilates class?

  • When can I sign up for a class?

The class schedule opens up a week prior to the class you would like to attend.

  • Are there different level classes?

Yes. Although most classes are for all levels, the advanced reformer class does require prior Pilates experience.  Please see our class descriptions to find the right class for you!
